The first thing that my hubby and I craved to eat when here in the Philippines is the delicious Mango. I just can’t find any of our Mango Cebu back in Texas. We went to Houston one time and hop from one Asian Market to the other but to no avail. No Mango from the Philippines. They have those coming from other nearby Asian countries but nothing can ever beat our mangoes or am I just being prejudice? But as far as my opinion goes, Our mangoes is not comparable to just any mangoes.
But what about its nutritional content? Well, Mangoes in general is known to have a very rich nutritional content such as vitamins and minerals . Vitamin A,C, and E are some of the antioxidant components which can be found in mango pulp. These antioxidants helps to eliminate free radicals in our body. Phytochemicals are also found in mangoes which help prevent certain form of cancers. Since it is high in calories too, mangoes are very helpful for those who needs to gain weight. Mangoes are also good for pregnant women as it contains folic acid needed for baby’s development especially on the first trimester.
With this known facts, I would never get tired of eating mangoes everyday because I am going to miss it and that is for sure:)
